Missionaries and Social Justice

The stereotype of missionaries as grasping, greedy exploiters of native peoples is unfair, according to a recent study conducted of missionary activities worldwide.  Turns out that the work of Protestant missionaries is associated with a much higher level of empowerment of native people in the areas of education, public communications, social justice and democratic government.
